Al Brumagin

Senior Executive Director

Al Brumagin has significant experience in the senior living industry. Prior to becoming executive director at Solstice at Fairport, he served as a marketing director and as an executive director at other senior living facilities. In addition, he also launched a new independent living community as the director for a local nonprofit organization. Al enjoys spending time with the residents at Solstice at Fairport and appreciates each resident’s stories and wisdom. Al is honored to care for the residents at Solstice at Fairport.

He currently resides in Webster with his wife, and he looks forward to visits from his children and granddaughters.

Amy Burgess

Director of Sales

With 25 years of experience in senior living, Amy has held a variety of leadership roles—including Activities Director, Sales Director and Executive Director—giving her a well-rounded perspective on the needs of both residents and families. She now brings that expertise and heart to her role as Sales Director at Solstice Senior Living, where she’s passionate about helping seniors feel welcomed, supported and truly at home. 

She values the wisdom and humor residents bring to daily life and is honored to be part of their journey. In her downtime, Amy can be found with her family, out on the boat, browsing local flea markets, staying active or baking something delicious.

Makenzie Pearce

Director of Celebrations

Makenzie Pearce has a degree in recreation and leisure with a therapeutic recreation concentration and a minor in kinesiology. She is a nationally Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and has held many diverse roles in the recreation field. Makenzie pairs her desire to serve with that experience to enrich the lives of everyone at Solstice. 
 
Makenzie has a deep passion for recreation, leisure, and the positive role they play in a persons well-being and quality of life. As the director of Celebrations, Makenzie is dedicated to providing diverse programming to the residents, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. Her many hobbies include soccer, skiing, puzzles and crafting, as well as connecting with friends and family. 

Lory Preston, Business Office Director, Solstice at Fairport

Lory Preston

Business Office Director

Lory Preston brings over six years of experience in office management to the Solstice at Fairport team. She is dedicated to showing compassion and support to new residents as they transition into senior living. Working for Solstice gives her the opportunity to enrich the lives of seniors by caring, listening and lending a helping hand. 

In her free time, Lory enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Connor Rand

Culinary Services Director

Connor Rand has been working in the culinary field for 15 years. His interest started in high school, where he attended a #1 BOCES program and learned the fundamentals of culinary arts. From there, Connor enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., where he studied baking and pastry arts along with business management. Since graduation, Connor has had the opportunity to use his skills with such prestigious titles as culinary teacher, manager of local restaurants for Wegmans and sous chef at Oak Hill Country Club, and now he joins Solstice Senior Living at Fairport as the Culinary Services Director.

Kurt Steinacher

Culinary Services Director

Kurt Steinacher has enjoyed cooking for most of his life. He started young, cooking breakfast on Saturdays while watching cartoons. During high school, while working for Wegmans Food Markets in Syracuse, he worked with the Store Chef for a Red Cross benefit dinner alongside many local chefs and after the experience realized he wanted to pursue a career in culinary arts. A graduate from the Culinary Institute of America, Kurt has experience working in Country Clubs, Turning Stone Casino and Resort, Wegmans Food Markets and other local restaurants. Born and raised in Baldwinsville, N.Y., he then moved to Maine, where he met his wife, and together they moved to Rochester. Kurt worked as executive chef for a large non-profit senior living community for four years before coming to Solstice Senior Living. He looks forward to bringing the best culinary experience to the residents at Solstice.

Dan Guiseppetti

Senior Building Services Director

With over 25 years of experience in home remodeling, Dan is Solstice at Fairport’s Maintenance Director. In his free time, Dan enjoys working in the yard, fishing, boating and working on other remodeling projects. Dan lives in Penfield with his wife and three sons.

Jane Roberts, Concierge, Solstice at Fairport

Jane Roberts

Concierge/Move-In Coordinator 

Jane has many years of senior living experience. She came to Solstice in 2020 and served the community for two years, then went on to pursue other career aspirations. She returned to Solstice because of her love for the community and for the senior population. When she is not working, Jane spends time with her husband, dogs, children and grandchildren.
